Wesley Roy holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University in Music Education and a Master’s Degree from the Florida State University in Music Education/Choral Conducting. While at FSU, he taught undergraduate Music Technology, and currently serves as the Director of Choirs at Elizabeth Cobb Middle School in Tallahassee, where he conducts both Men’s and Women’s ensembles ranging from beginning to advanced levels. Beyond school hours, he serves as the Music Director for Cobb Middle School’s annual musical and coordinates the “Glee Cubs,” a school-wide extra-curricular pop music ensemble.
In addition to his work in public schools, he has served as a church section leader, soloist, and accompanist for many years. His most recent religious post is at Waukeenah United Methodist Church, where he has worked as Music Director since 2010.
At the state level, Wesley served as the Co-Chair of the Florida Male Honor Choir in 2014, and is the ensemble’s Chair for the 2015 and 2016 Florida ACDA Conference seasons.
In his free time, he sings with the Tallahassee Community Chorus under the direction of Dr. André Thomas, and the Festival Singers of Florida under Dr. Kevin Fenton.
